Cat Shield Warranty

We have a 90-day manufacturer's warranty against defects from the manufacturing process. This covers issues that prevent the proper installation or performance of the product.

Warranty is valid only when:

Accompanied by valid proof of purchase
The purchase was made directly from Miller CAT Corp or an authorized retailer (including millercat.com and Amazon)
Purchases made through unauthorized third-party sellers or resellers are not eligible for warranty coverage

What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

Surface appearance — please read before purchasing. Cat Shields are raw stainless steel components. They are not painted, powder coated, or finished. Mill marks, minor scratches, surface oxidation, and manufacturing residue are inherent characteristics of these materials and are present on every unit we ship. This is expected and normal. Products that show these characteristics are not defective and are not eligible for a return or warranty claim.
Damage caused by improper installation
Damage caused by road debris, off-road use, or physical impact
Damage caused by modification of the product
Labor, diagnostics, transportation, or incidental costs

Theft Deterrence Disclaimer

We do not guarantee our product against theft. Cat Shields are a deterrence device designed to discourage theft and make it more difficult for thieves to steal your catalytic converter. Given the right tools, technique, or time, a thief can still take your converter. However, by having a shield, you are significantly increasing your protection against converter theft. Similar to a car or home alarm, you are making thieves second-guess themselves and consider moving on to another target. Deterrence works — we have countless customer accounts and video evidence of derailed converter theft attempts.

Miller CAT Corp is not liable for any consequential damages arising from the use of this product, including but not limited to labor costs, transportation costs, damage to other parts of the vehicle, or damage to persons, other property, or vehicles.

MCX Product Line Warranty

CARB Compliant Catalytic Converter Warranty — 5 Year / 50,000 Miles

Miller CAT catalytic converters are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship that would cause the converter to fail an emissions test for 5 years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.

Warranty is conditioned upon:

Proper installation on a vehicle the converter is approved for
The vehicle being maintained in proper operating condition
Proper maintenance records demonstrating that diagnosis and maintenance were performed to remedy the cause of the failed converter

What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

Converters damaged or failed due to improper installation
Use on non-approved or modified vehicles
Engine conditions such as misfires, rich/lean fuel mixture, oil or coolant burning
Physical impact, road debris, or off-road use
Contaminated fuel or additives
Any pre-existing mechanical issues that affect emissions
Labor, diagnostics, shipping, towing, or incidental costs

How to Submit a Claim

A warranty claim requires the defective converter to be returned to an authorized dealer along with proof of purchase and a properly completed warranty certificate. Contact us at support@millercat.com to initiate the process.

MCATX Catalytic Converter Warranty

Emissions Performance Warranty — 25,000 Miles

Our MCATX catalytic converters are warranted to meet Federal EPA emissions performance requirements for 25,000 miles from the date of installation, when installed on a properly maintained, EPA-certified vehicle.

Construction & Materials Warranty — 5 Years / 50,000 Miles

We warranty the converter's stainless steel shell, internal substrate, and welds against defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

Improper installation
Use on non-approved or modified vehicles
Engine conditions such as misfires, rich/lean fuel mixture, oil or coolant burning
Physical impact, road debris, or off-road use
Contaminated fuel or additives
Any pre-existing mechanical issues that affect emissions
Labor, diagnostics, shipping, towing, or incidental costs

CAN Bus Anti-Theft Shield Warranty

We have a 90-day manufacturer's warranty against defects from the manufacturing process. This covers issues that prevent the proper installation or performance of the product.

Warranty is valid only when:

Accompanied by valid proof of purchase
The purchase was made directly from Miller CAT Corp or an authorized retailer (including millercat.com and Amazon)
Purchases made through unauthorized third-party sellers or resellers are not eligible for warranty coverage

Minor surface imperfections from the manufacturing or shipping process are inherent characteristics of these materials and are present on every unit we ship. This is expected and normal. Improper installation — please read before installing. This product must be installed following our provided installation guide. Damage resulting from incorrect installation, forced fitment, or modifications made during installation are not covered under warranty. If you are unsure about any step of the installation process, stop and contact us at support@millercat.com before proceeding. Do not guess.

Given the right tools, technique, or time, a thief can still take your vehicle. However, by having a CAN Bus Shield, you are significantly increasing your protection against theft. Minor surface imperfections from the manufacturing or shipping process are inherent characteristics of these materials and are present on every unit we ship. This is expected and normal. Improper installation — please read before installing. This product must be installed following our provided installation guide. Damage resulting from incorrect installation, forced fitment, stripped or overtightened fasteners, or modifications made during installation are not covered under warranty. If you are unsure about any step of the installation process, stop and contact us at support@millercat.com before proceeding. Do not guess.
Emblem and trim tabs — handle with care. The vehicle emblem on this shield uses plastic retention tabs. These tabs are fragile and will break if forced during removal or installation. Broken emblem tabs are not covered under warranty as this is damage caused during handling. Follow the installation guide carefully when removing and reinstalling the emblem. If you need guidance, contact us before attempting removal.
Any changes or alterations to vehicle operation resulting from installation of this product

Theft Deterrence Disclaimer

The MCPROTECTED Radar Shield is a deterrence device designed to make it more challenging for thieves to access your radar sensor. While no security measure is foolproof, our Radar Shield adds a robust layer of defense, making thieves think twice before targeting your vehicle. Miller CAT Corp is not responsible for any changes or alterations related to the operation of the vehicle resulting from installation of this product.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Please review the warranty terms for your product above before submitting a claim. To initiate a warranty claim, email us at support@millercat.com with the following:

Your order number
Proof of purchase
A description of the issue
Clear photos showing the defect or damage

We will review your claim and respond with next steps. Warranty claims submitted without proof of purchase may be denied.

Note: Catalytic converter warranty claims require the defective converter to be returned to an authorized dealer with proof of purchase and a completed warranty certificate. Contact us to initiate this process.
