A CAN Bus is a system in vehicles that lets different parts talk to each other without a main computer. Because it's crucial for vehicle operation, protecting the CAN Bus helps prevent theft and tampering, ensuring your vehicle’s key features work correctly.

If your Lexus or Toyota has one of the following, it is likely you have a vulnerable headlight control module and a CAN Bus Anti-Theft Shield may be needed. Please see the fitment chart at the bottom of this section for the most up-to-date information.

• Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)
• Triple Beam Headlights
• Auto-leveling (2017+ models)

• Check your window sticker when you purchase the vehicle to see if your vehicle was equipped with AFS or auto-leveling.
• If your headlights adjust in the direction of your steering when driving at night, you likely have the AFS system.
• If your headlights move up and down when you start it at night, you likely have auto-leveling headlights.
• Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the headlight computer control module, usually attached to the headlight. The exact placement may vary depending on the vehicle model. The shape of the module is unique and should be easy to confirm.
