MC M6 Rivet Nut Tool

Great tool!!! Worked perfectly for my project

For my vehicle, 2020 Toyota Tundra 4X4 (only) where the trans/diff housing blocks access by normal rivet tool.
This little tool, will install the M6 Rivet on the drivers side transmission cross member framing (where it is tight), as well as the M6 rivet on the passenger side. I loosely installed the rear bolts to hold the back end up, then installed the front hanging bolts (almost tight), then the rear hanging bolts (almost tight).
If you bought the rear catalytic protection, attach those now using the longer bolts provided. Tighten all your bolts to spec.
There are instructional installation tapes on U-Tube showing a young lady in gym attire performing this installation on another brand. She was my inspiration to install my MillerCat. I am 74 years young and I managed to perform my installation. Thank You!

At the end of the day, this is a screw and a larger nut - the screw goes through the threadless nut and into the rivet nut. You turn the screw and it causes the rivet nut to deform (like a rivet). Had I known what it looks like, I’m pretty sure I could make one with a screw and a nut that I drill the threads out of. It did work, and although it’s supposed to wear out, I see no signs of wear. It's the 4 stars because it worked fine - it's just a bit of a rip off that's all.

Got the shield got my Tundra. Great kit. Easy installation. Directions were ok but useable. A better quality instruction sheet with better quality pictures would be helpful. But overall a solid product

The instructions state that you may need assistance. This is only for certain instances. I easily held it in place with my knees while installing hardware. I also was able to get the bolt in front of the transfer case installed without jacking the case. I just used the supplied bit and a ratchet wrench. Installing the nut-cert required a little finesse with a heavy hammer and a brass drift used as a paddle. I'm really pleased with the coverage and quality of materials.

The rivet tool works great but why why not include the rivet tool with a MillerCat purchase? You can’t install the shield without it and it took over a week for it to ship and deliver. To add ….$20 for a hex screw with plastic shaft and 1 rivet is unbelievably expensive. Other than this the shield fits.

Couldn’t have found a better inexpensive solution to installing my Miller Cat Shields on my Tundra.

Did exactly what it was supposed to. It saved me a lot of time and money not have to move my transfer case and transmission.
